Photo Hunt: Skinny

10:58 pm Images, Photo Hunters, The Son

Every Saturday, participants post photos based on a theme. The theme for this Saturday, January 12, 2007 is SKINNY.

Skinny is a word that best describes the son. He is a skinny young boy. As a baby he was very chubby until he got asthma. When he was diagnosed with asthma, he never gained significant weight because when something triggers an attack, he loses weight faster than he gained these. This is the primary reason why he is being homeschooled, his frail health.

Here is my other photo hunt entry.

Have a great weekend everyone! 🙂

don’t lose hope. I was skinny and had asthma as a child as well but look how things turned out for me. big and strong as a horse. he he.

Thank you for the encouragement, Monaco. This dreaded thing runs in my family and I have had it too as a child. We plan to get swimming lessons for him soon. 🙂

I love the photograph of Julian. What a wonderful view. I’m sorry that he has to deal with asthma. That’s hard when a young one has a serious health problem.

That place is a mountain resort,Carver where very few people go. Asthma is a rising concern here in the Philippines because of pollution. Thanks for the visit!

Julie, I never thought about sick children having to be homeschooled…I’m sorry for Julian.

Mary, school children are under a lot of stress, travel time during traffic, a lot of school load, hot weather, all contributors for an asthma attack. We would rather he learn through an alternative way than risk his health. When he is able to cope more with his health, we would be bringing him to a real school. Thanks for the visit 🙂

Awww…What a wonderful photograph. I’m sorry that Julian has had difficulty with his asthma and weight, Julie.

That is a mountain resort a few people know about, Patricia. 🙂 Asthma is common among children here in the major cities of the Philippines because of pollution. We cope though at times it is hard, asking him not to play too much for a little perspiration on the back would trigger an attack. It is very humid here.

I’m sure Julian will gain some weight as he grows older 🙂

I hope so, thank you for the words or encouragement. 🙂

Great shot. Our boy suffered from asthma too, then at about 14 it has just disappeared. Hope it will do the same in your case – as soon as possible.

STG, a lot of children (and adults too) suffer from asthma here in developing countries. So much for progress without much respect to the environment and nature. I sure do hope it will disappear too, like it did mine. Thanks for the visit 🙂

love the photo. poor fella, i never knew it affects the weight as well.

great take on the theme 🙂

When attacks happen, he loses weight. When everything is good, he gains a little. Thanks for the visit 🙂
