Advent Preparing fro Christmas

Advent means coming.

Advent is a time of waiting.

Advent Wreath

The circular shape tells us that God has no beginning and no end.

The color of the wreath is green meaning life.

The candles tell us that Jesus is our guide.

The three candles are violet. The other candle is pink or rose which means joy for the coming of Jesus. This is prepared four weeks before Christmas.

The Holy Spirit Helps Me to Become a True Christian

§ To be a true Christian is to follow the life and teachings of Jesus like what Mother Teresa did.

§ Mother Teresa was called the living saint before she died. She helped the poor people in need and she believed in the power of God through the Holy Spirit which gave her the strength to do these acts of love.

§ Lazarus was a poor beggar who wanted to eat because he was so hungry. He was at the gate of the rich man who gave parties almost everyday but he did not give Lazarus some food.

The Holy Spirit Helps Me to Be Cheerful

• To be cheerful and joyful is what God wants for all men.

• Before Jesus went up to Heaven, He talked to His disciples telling them what to do. That should, “Ask and you shall receive and you joy may be full.”

• • St. Stephen is a saint who suffered being stoned but he accepted this with joy because of the Holy Spirit. When he was being stoned, the people heard him praying, “Lord Jesus, I offer myself to you, forgive me from my sins.”

The Holy Spirit Guides Me to Faithful

• Jesus knew that it is hard to tell the truth that is why He told His Apostles that He will give them a helper to help them know, do and tell the truth.

• Jesus explained that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, who will help them know and understand all the truth about God and how the Holy Spirit will guide them on the truth.
• Once you know the true teachings of Jesus, it is your duty to speak and do the truth.

The Holy Spirit Helps Me in Loving Others

• To love is what God wants us to do.

• Jesus was teaching a man about love and He said: “You shall love the Lord your God alone and you shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

• St. Paul was a true follower of Jesus. He showed his love for Jesus by preaching and doing good works even if many did not like to believe in the true God.

• If you love God and you believe that the Holy Spirit will help you in loving, you will become a loving person.

The Holy Spirit Helps Me to Believe

• The Holy Spirit is God, the third person in the Blessed Trinity.

• To be able to pray well and live happily you should be able to believe in the power of God through the Holy Spirit.

• The Annunciation: It was the Holy Spirit who prepared Mary to become the Mother of Jesus.

• The Holy Spirit helps you to be strong in your belief in God.

• Lorenzo Ruiz is a great saint. He was strong and brave because the Holy Spirit made him strong and brave to remain faithful to God.
