Multiplication is repeated addition.

A number line can be used to multiply numbers.

The Properties of Multiplication are:

  1. Commutative Property of Multiplication:  changing the order of factors does not change the order of the product.
  2. Identity Property of Multiplication: any number multiplied by 1 is equal to the same number.
  3. Zero Property of Multiplication: any number multiplied by zero is equal to zero.
