  • Multiplication and division are related.
  • Division is the inverse of multiplication.
  • When we write 5 X 6 = 30 and 5 X 6 = 30, the inverse is written as 30 ÷ 6 = 5 and 30 ÷ 5 = 6, respectively.

Lesson 4

Dividing numbers by 2 is the same as grouping into 2s or finding how many sets of 2 there are in all.
