Words that cannot be counted are called not countable name words.

Examples are sugar, rice, salt, juice.

Plural nouns

  1. To make words mean more than one, add s.
    1. bag – bags
    2. shoe – shoes
  2. To make name words ending in s, ss, ch, sh, x, and z mean more than one, add es.
    1. church – churches
    2. box – boxes

  1. There are name words that do not particularly refer to a particular person, place, thing or animal. They are called not exact name words or common words or common nouns. These begin with a small letter.
  2. Name words have special names. Each part of a special name begins with a capital letter. They are called exact name words or proper names or proper nouns because they give exact names.

3. Speak loud so that they can hear you.

4. Look at the person/persons you are talking with.
