Lesson 9
You need light to see.
Light may come from natural or man-made.
Natural light are the sun and the moon.
Man-made lights are those that use electricity and/or batteries to give off light. Examples are: light bulbs, flashlight, fluorescent lights.
Other man-made lights are candles, gas lamps and/or torches. Gas lamps and torches need fuel such as kerosene to produce fire.
The Holy Spirit Helps Me to Become a True Christian
§ To be a true Christian is to follow the life and teachings of Jesus like what Mother Teresa did.
§ Mother Teresa was called the living saint before she died. She helped the poor people in need and she believed in the power of God through the Holy Spirit which gave her the strength to do these acts of love.
§ Lazarus was a poor beggar who wanted to eat because he was so hungry. He was at the gate of the rich man who gave parties almost everyday but he did not give Lazarus some food.
Still a part of the Inference lesson:
Where Go the Boats
Dark brown in the river.
Golden in the sand.
It flows along forever,
With trees on either hand.
Green leaves a-floating,
Castles of the foam,
Boats of mine a-boating
Where will all come home?
On goes the river
And out past the mill,
Away down the valley,
Away down the hill.
Away down the river,
A hundred miles away or more,
Other little children
Shall bring my boats ashore.
By Robert Louis Stevenson
Notes #8
To make an inference or intelligent guess, we have to understand the sentences and situations in a paragraph.
Firefly
A little light is going by,
is going up to see the sky,
A little light wing.
Â
I never could have thought of it,
To have a little bug all lit
And made to go on wings.
-Elizabeth Madox Roberts
Notes #6
In knowing reality from fancy, distinguish what is real from what is not real or what we call fancy or suspicious.
Reality refers to what is true while fancy refers to what is not true. This is usually created by our imagination.
