Lesson 5

Space can be Measured

Matter occupies space and this space can be measured.

The length of an object tells how long it is. Its width tells how wide it is. The height tells how high or how tall it is. By getting the length, width and the height, you can tell how much space it occupies. This is called volume.

Matter has Mass.

Mass is the amount of matter an object is made up of.

Lesson 5

Dividing by 5 is just like finding how many groups of 5 there are in a number or in a set.

Lesson 6

Dividing by 10 is like finding how many groups of 10 there are in a number or in a set.

Comparing picture words

• Picture words may be used to compare two or more name words.
• To compare two name words, simply add -er at the end of the picture word. The word than helps it.
  • Example: The elephant is bigger than a zebra.
• To compare three or more man words, simply add -est at he end of the picture word. Words like among, of all, and ever are a few helping words.
  • Example: The giraffe is the tallest animal among all the other animals in the zoo.

The Holy Spirit Guides Me to Faithful

• Jesus knew that it is hard to tell the truth that is why He told His Apostles that He will give them a helper to help them know, do and tell the truth.

• Jesus explained that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, who will help them know and understand all the truth about God and how the Holy Spirit will guide them on the truth.
• Once you know the true teachings of Jesus, it is your duty to speak and do the truth.
