Your ears are your sense organs for hearing. They collect and conduct sounds form the environment.

Smell and Tell

Your nose is your sense organ for smelling. It helps you identify the scent of objects in your surroundings.

Numbers in Expanded Form

• Another way of writing a Hindu-Arabic number is using expanded form, wherein the values of the digits are combined from left to right.

135 = 100 + 30 + 5

Reading and Writing Numbers

To write number in words:

1. Give the value of the digit starting from the leftmost digit.

2. Separate the thousand from the hundred with a comma.

3. Number words such a twenty-one, thirty-four and forty-six and so on, are written with a hyphen.

Short and Long I words:

• Words with –IE, -ICE _Y: pie rice sky

• Words with –IGHT –IGH: bright sigh

• Words with –IND: kind find

• Your eyes are your sense organs for seeing. They help you see objects in your surroundings.

May Bagong Kaibigan

Pagtulong ay huwag ipagkait sa kapwang nasa gipit.

Sa pagpapakilala ng kamag-aral o kakilala:

1. gamitin ang SIYA sa ipinapakilala.
2. unahing banggitin ang pangalan ng babae o matanda.
3. sabihin kung kapatid, pinsan, kaibigan o kamag-aral ang ipinapakilala.

Mga batayan ng pagkilala sa mga Pilipinong nakatira sa iba’t ibang mga pamayanan sa Pilipinas.

1. Ang nanay at tatay ay parehong Pilipino.
2. Ang mga magulang ay nanumpa at pinili ang pagiging Pilipino.
3. Kapag ang bata ay isinilang sa Pilipinas.

May mga pangkat Pilipinong naninirahan sa iba’t ibang pamayanan ng Pilipinas katulad ng Ita, Ibanag, Badjao, T’boli at Ifugao.
