So many square windows in that building over there 🙂
Boat ride or Water taxi ride at Nuvali. This was a part of my son’s field trip last year. Other activities included fish or koi feeding and visit to One Evotech Building which used LEED or (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) standards.
We looked at homes (Nuvali has residential areas) that take advantage of natural light to conserve the use of electricity.
The children also learned about recycling, reusing and reducing waste products.
Field trips are tiring but these are super fun!

The son brought home a hamster yesterday. It’s not his. It belongs to a classmate who brought it for the Science Week but forgot to bring it home last Thursday.
Friday was a holiday and they didn’t have school.
Saturday was rehearsal day for the Dramatics Club where the son is a member. He was the one brought home the hamster because he was a classmate of the owner.
We went to the supermarket to look for hamster food. We found none save for plastic containers of rabbit food. I have to say “no” because if he brings back the hamster and we still have heaps of rabbit food, the kids might ask for a hamster or a rabbit. Which I have to say “no” to again and they will feel sad.
We gave the hamster apple slices and it nibbled on the slices in no time. He was busy going round and round the wheel last night and was fast asleep in the morning.
Anyway…
Tomorrow, he will bring back the hamster and give it back to the owner.

For the children’s university week, celebrated every February, the grade four field demonstration was Sayaw sa Bangko.
Sayaw sa Bangko or Sayaw ed Tapew ng Bangko is a folk dance from Pangasinan, a province from the northern Philippines. Performers dance on wooden benches, changing places with each other and at times jumping on and off the bench.
The son is wearing shoes, the pair of slippers which was prepared earlier was forgotten, 😀
Balance and helping each other to stay on the bench is important for the two dancers on the bench.
